Filling Tires by Nitrogen Gas Vs Normal Gas

Today’s world people have different kinds of ideas about Nitrogen gas which is to use fill vehicles tires. Among those people, some of them are telling that we are filling tires by Nitrogen gas, it will not only enhance the performance, driver safety, fuel efficiency but also life span of tires. Whatever, the facts we are talking about Nitrogen gas, we all have known that it is an environmental friendly gas. However, some people do not filling tires by Nitrogen because of they just believe that Nitrogen is a business strategy to earn money in vehicle market. Normally, Nitrogen gas cost is higher than normal gas.

If you are traveling long distance away from your city and go to rural area, it is hard to find even a gas filling station. However, the changing from Nitrogen to normal gas is a huge procedure as well. Another fact is, nitrogen is not available in every filling stations and due to that situation filling tires by Nitrogen cost is high because it is minimal in generally. The high stress and high performance tires which have been using by NASCAR race cars, commercial aircraft and NASA used Nitrogen gas for long time ago. Nitrogen gas decrease the tire temperature rapidly and reduce the fire risk. Therefore racing cars and airplanes are filling tires by nitrogen gas in generally.  But tires are burn rarely what kind of gas you use. Whatever, the Nitrogen gas became more popular through marketing method and people started to filling tires by Nitrogen for normal vehicle most recently.  Anyway, we have to believe the benefits of this gas is depending on how you driving your vehicle and the condition as well.

Normal gas consists of 78% of Nitrogen (Nitrogen - minimize fire hazards) and it can be reserved as a normal gas, 21% Oxygen (due to oxidizing it can be flammable), rest are water vapor (when cooling, it turns into solution and when heating it turns to a gas. Nitrogen gas tires doesn’t contain water vapor. Therefore the gas volume can be maintain in a certain level.), carbon dioxide and gas particles are containing as small particles (no impact either performance or wreck of the tire). To manufacture Nitrogen gas to fill tires, remove Oxygen and water vapor from normal gas. Therefore we can enhance the safety and trust that no harmful effects on the security by removing Oxygen and water vapor.

Thus filling tires by nitrogen gets more benefit. Mostly, those advantages can be acquired due to unavailability of Oxygen and water vapor. The pressure of the tire can be maintained for long time in a certain level by itself due to the Nitrogen molecules are in large size. Therefore, the leaking of the gas is almost in a minimal level. Nitrogen can retain up to three times the gas over normal gas. Tires are touching the ground correctly and due to that it has not only enhanced the fuel efficiency but also the safety. Thus it reduces the wreck of the tire. However, it is most important to maintain the pressure of the tire in certain level.

Another advantage is, always you don’t want to check and test your tires. Because when we are filling normal gas using an air compressor, additional water vapor volume can be entered to the tire. It is very danger and there is no impact in Nitrogen gas filling.  The core factor to reduce the condition of inside the tire is Oxygen and the wetness. Nitrogen is non-corrosive gas. Therefore Nitrogen doesn’t do anything to lose the inside condition of the tire due to non-corrosive and also reduce the corrosive of the wheel. Nitrogen gas is very useful to users who are not using their vehicles every day and the sellers who have more vehicles in their showrooms due to this non-corrosive fact.

Sometime Nitrogen gas is useful to use in wreck tires. However, if you drive your vehicle every day, tires wreck from outside than inside. In that kind of situation, there may be a problem. That’s why we said at the beginning the benefit of filling nitrogen gas is depending on the condition that you drive your vehicle. The best thing is to consider about the method how you manage your trip and fill your tires.

Have a SAFE Journey. Cheers!
