How to use Google Search correctly
Most of the people who surf
internet using Google search engine to find out many things according to their
desire. Sometimes they get a lot of unnecessary things in the search result.
Thus they missed what they want to get from Google. So, let’s see how to ignore
those unnecessary results which are given by Google search engine when we
search something.
- Certain sentence - suggest that you want to search how to install java. It is better to type “Install Java” between inverted comas, then the results will give as install java phrase in correct order.
- Ignore unwanted words – if you want to install only ‘NetBeans’ not ‘Eclipse’, type as follows; install java -Eclipse. Then results will give except Eclipse. That means Google result ignores the word after the hyphen. If you type install java –Eclipse –download, Google ignore that two words after the hyphen.
- Related URL – suggest that we found the result on http://itechdigest.blogspot.com/about-us.html, If you want to find out related things which is relevant to that particular page, type related phrase in front of the URL as follows; related:http://itechdigest.blogspot.com/about-us.html
- Search only in the site – if you want to search something only in the home page, just type as follows. Home site: itechdigest.blogspot.com
- Search by file type – if you want to search java PDF files only, just type java tutorial:pdf
- Definition – if you want to search the definition of a word, type define:java
